Topic: How Praying In The Spirit Helps Us In Building Our Faith
Author: Pastor Abraham David
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
Jude 1:20 KJV
Faith, according to the scripture in Hebrews 11:1, is “…the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” And this substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, which is called faith, according to the scripture in Romans 10:17, “…comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Without faith, there is no Christianity, the Bible says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Faith is the only way we can please God, that means, the more our faith is built up, the more easier it gets living a life that please God and bring glory to Him, and the more your life and your way pleases God, the more of His glory is manifested in your life. This is the reason why you must build up your most holy faith by praying in the Holy Ghost.
How does praying in the Holy Ghost help in building up our most holy faith? When you pray in the Spirit, your heart becomes more open to God, and when your heart is open to God, at that time, it would become more easy for the Holy to teach and give you revelations of the word; it is the revelations from the Spirit of God, direct words from Him to us, and guidance of the Spirit that helps our faith, because, faith comes only by hearing, not by praying, but by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Praying in the Holy Ghost brings you to a level of fellowship with the Spirit of God, and also brings you in sync with Him and the divine will. In fellowship, what the Spirit of God does is reveals the mind of the Father to us, the more He reveals things to us from the Father, the more our faith and confidence grow, that’s why at that level, we can make anything happen, because our faith has grown to a level we can believe all things, and dare anything.
Praying doesn’t build your faith, that’s why we have many people praying but with no or weak faith, but you can build up your faith by praying in the Spirit, because, the Holy Spirit would bring words to you from God that will inspire your faith and make it grow big and strong.
Precious Father, thank you for the Holy Spirit whom you’ve made my Teacher, Guide, Intercessor, Standby, Comforter, and Helper; Lord, I am open to the teachings and guidance of your Spirit, to help me grow and manifest your perfection, in Jesus name. Amen.
