Topic: The Lord Will Lift Banner Against Your Enemies
Author: Pastor Abraham David

So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
Isaiah 59:19 KJV

What do you do as a Christian when you realize that someone is after you for evil, do you also turn against the person and seek to destroy him or her? No! What you do as a child of God is what David did to Saul; king Saul was after him, but he kept looking for ways to protect Saul.

Saul was after David to destroy him; David knew, but instead of turning himself against Saul, he used every opportunity he had to preserve the life of his enemy. When his men thought God had delivered the enemy of David into their hands and thought to smite him, David kept them from doing that, why? Because David knew that God won’t deliver him into the hands of his enemies, but rather deliver him from them.

Our scriptural text says, “…When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” God never promised anyone that enemy won’t come, so that you won’t think that coming to God means no one will target your life for evil. The people who always get attacked the most by the adversary are God’s people. God Himself knows and is always at alert in case the enemies come. The scripture says, “…When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”

Don’t stop your enemies from coming, let them come because you know that when they come, they are going to meet a great disappointment waiting. Saul did everything, but the more he tried to attack David, the more disappointed and frustrated he was: it was God who was frustrating his effort. David had many enemies coming after his life, including his own son, Absalom, but none of those who were after David’s life could even get close, they were all destroyed, and the horn of David lifted like a unicorn.

God would always lift up banner against your enemies, so, never have sleepless night because of an enemy, trust in the Lord that He will not suffer your feet to be moved, He would protect you and keep you safe from all evil, and when it looks like you would be killed, he will give the evil men as a ransom for you.

Prayer
My precious Father, my life is hid in you, so I know that when evil men come to attack me and to do me evil, you would lift up banner against them and cause them to stumble and fall; thank you for you always keep me safe, in Jesus name. Amen.
